Hardware om FON op te hosten
- Linksys WRT54GL / Buffalo
- Fonera 2100 aka The Fonera (5V/2A) heeft alleen een WAN poort en slechts 1 externe antenne met interne aansluiting naast de voeding
- Fonera 2200 aka The Fonera (7.5V/1A) heeft alleen een WAN poort en de interne antenne is niet actief, wordt wel minder snel warm
- Fonera 2201 aka The Fonera+ (7.5V/1A) heeft een LAN/WAN poort en een actieve interne antenne
- Fontenna aka The Fontenna, verander je 2db pigtail omnidirectionele antenne in een directionele 7Db antenne
- Smc Skype Wifi Phone bel draadloos dmv skype in, skype out op elke FON hotspot of waarvan je het WPA/WEP paswoord kent
Hardware om FON te gebruiken
Iphone
By default you can authenticate using the safari browser; but it will soon be tidious to reauthenticate everytime.

- Met AppTapp kun je dan iFON installeren!
Nokia N810
The Nokia N770, N800, N810
To turn off power saving:
* Disconnect from the WiFi
* Go into the Control Panel
* Choose Connectivity
* Choose Connections
* Select the connection name for your FON
* Choose Edit
* Hit Next twice to get to the last page
* Set Power saving to intermediate, and hit OK on the confirmation.
* Hit OK, Finish, Done, and OK to get out of the Connectivity applet.
* Reconnect, and see if it works.
If it's still bad, repeat, but turn Power saving off entirely.
This is a connection-specific option, so it'll only kill your battery when connected to FON routers.
