- Zorg eerst dat je SSH geactiveerd hebt op je Fonera
- Verbindt je dmv SSH met je Fonera en voer de volgende instructies uit in de correcte volgorde, enkelen zullen wat langer duren dus niet panikeren.

- verifieer of alles goed gegaan is en ga kijk of in /etc/init.d een script "snmpd" is bijgekomen sinds de installatie van snmpd-static_5.1.2-2.1_mips.ipk :
cd /etc/init.d cat snmpd vi snmpd
- mijn snmpd ziet er als volgt uit :
!/bin/sh (voeg een uitroepteken toe!) /usr/sbin/snmpd
- voeg aan /etc/firewall.user de volgende 2 regels toe
vi /etc/firewall.user /usr/sbin/iptables -A input_rule -i eth0 -p udp --dport 161 -j ACCEPT /usr/sbin/iptables -t nat -A prerouting_rule -i eth0 -p udp --dport 161 -j ACCEPT
- hernoem snmpd in S50snmpd
mv /etc/init.d/snmpd /etc/init.d/S50snmpd
- en nu lees/schrijfrechten geven door het volgende:
best is om "private" te vervangen door naam van je kat... cd /etc/snmp vi snmpd.conf com2sec ro default public com2sec rw localhost bougie group public v1 ro group public v2c ro group public usm ro group bougie v1 rw group bougie v2c rw group bougie usm rw view all included .1 access public "" any noauth exact all none none access private "" any noauth exact all all all
- eenmaal alles geinstalleerd en geconfigureerd gaan we ze activeren door je fonera te herstarten dmv:
reboot
- eenmaal alles heropgestart en alle 3 leds brandend verifieren we dmv:
ps -ef|grep snmpd
- alsook of alle "vuurmuur"-regels in orde zijn:
iptables -L
- Alles zou nu in orde zijn... Volgende keer leg ik uit hoe je deze nu raadpleegt dmv SNMP
