[edit] Fontenna for Street-coverage

  • By default the fontenna is sold to be put
    • to a window using the 2 2-side stickers
    • to be put against a wall using the plastic holder and the 2 screws/plugs accompagnied.
  • BUT I wanted not to cover the park, school, building, market across the street. I wanted to cover at least 1 side of the street outside. With 2 foneras&2 fontennas I could cover both sides of my street (on the sides of my house so I don't interfere the signal from behind the fontenna.) each covering I side... and thus at least cover 800meters of street.... and a 3rd fonera in my building to cover the home itself...

[edit] Tutorial

  • remove plastic cap
  • Drill holes
  • attach fontenna with fastbinders
  • close holes with duct tape
  • use screw to tighten the metal holder to the pvc tube
  • You can use longer pvc tubing (but it would not be too steady... the fontenna has an almost 180° directional wifi angle and 10° uptilt so it will flood your street allready nicely.... if you could place them each 200 meters... you have a nice wifi street :)
